Disney Cruise Laundry: Tips and Tricks for Keeping Your Clothes Clean on Vacation

Going on a Disney Cruise is a dream come true for many families. With all the fun activities and delicious food, it can be easy to forget about the practical things like laundry. However, if you’re planning a longer cruise or just want to pack light, doing laundry on the ship can be a convenient option. Here are some tips and tricks for making the most out of the Disney Cruise laundry services.

The Basics of Disney Cruise Laundry

First things first, let’s go over the basics. There are laundry rooms located on each Disney Cruise ship, and they are open 24 hours a day. The machines are coin-operated, and you can get quarters from the Guest Services desk or the vending machines located near the laundry rooms. There are also detergent dispensers available, so you don’t need to bring your own.

The cost for using the machines is $3 per wash and $3 per dry cycle. You can also purchase a laundry package for $7 per day, which gives you unlimited use of the machines and detergent for the duration of your cruise. Keep in mind that the laundry rooms can get busy, especially on sea days, so plan accordingly.

Tips for Doing Laundry on a Disney Cruise

Now that you know the basics, here are some tips for making the most out of the Disney Cruise laundry services:

Pack Light

The less you pack, the less laundry you’ll have to do. Consider packing outfits that can be mixed and matched, and bring clothes that can be easily washed and dried.

Plan Ahead

Check the laundry room schedule and plan your laundry day accordingly. Try to avoid doing laundry on sea days when the rooms are busiest. Also, keep in mind that the machines take about an hour to complete a cycle, so plan accordingly.

Bring Your Own Supplies

While detergent is provided, you may want to bring your own fabric softener or dryer sheets if you have sensitive skin. You may also want to bring a laundry bag to make it easier to transport your clothes to and from the laundry room.

Be Mindful of Others

The laundry rooms can get crowded, so be mindful of others who may be waiting for a machine. Try to be efficient with your time and only use the machines when you need to.
